Daily Thought 27 Jan 06
"As children of the Lord we should strive every day to rise to a higher level of personal righteousness in all of our actions." —President James E. Faust |
"Our actions are very important in our everday lives! Keep your priorities straight, and remember that just as Hevenly Father loves us, so we should love one another. Our love is shown in word and deed. Let your actions show how you love the Lord."

"With the birth of the Prophet, it was just as if the Lord illuminated the minds of mankind and made it possible that technology and communications so that the gospel could be scattered and spread throughout the earth,"
Elder Perry said.
"I know this is very true! It's amazing how far technology has gone in the last 150 years, more than ever before! We can also help in the spreading of the gospel even through new technology. E-mails, webcams, this blog even, it all helps us stay close and spread the gospel! "

Daily Thought for 25 Jan 06
First, be an example in word.
' "Let your words tend to edifying one another," said the Lord.
Do we remember the counsel of a favorite Sunday School hymn?

"Oh, the kind words we give shall in memory live
And sunshine forever impart.
Let us oft speak kind words to each other;
Kind words are sweet tones of the heart." '
President Thomas S. Monson
"Remember if the Lord said it it must be very important, and not only that we know how words can effect out lives for the good or bad. If we can't speak with kind words on Earth will we in the next life?"

Thought / Scripture 22-28 Jan 2006
Hey, everyone!! Mom gave me a good idea for the Blog. I am going to try to post a spiritual thought or scripture every week. If you have a favorite thought or scripture that you want posted send it to me and I will post them each week. If I get enough I might post them everyday. The thoughts can be something you read, heard in seminary or church, quotes from church magazines, or sciptures you read. All I ask is that if you send something make sure you put the reference where you found it and I would like your comments even if all it is is "Thought this was cool." or "I didn't know this.". Since Mom was the one who came up with the idea I will use hers as the first thought. She found the reference in the Book Of Mormon where the Nephites and Lamanites first started living in Tribes with Chiefs. I have read this numerous times and never realized that it was right there. The scripture is as follows.
"1. Now behold, I will show unto you that they did not establish a king over the land; but in this same year, yea, the thirtieth year, they did destroy upon the judgment-seat, yea, did murder the chief judge of the land.
2. And the people were divided one against another; and they did separate one from another into tribes, every man according to his family and his kindred and friends; and thus they did destroy the government of the land.
3. And every tribe did appoint a chief or a leader over them; and thus they became tribes and leaders of tribes.
4. Now behold, there was no man among them save he had much family and many kindreds and friends; therefore their tribes became exceedingly great."
